I'm fairly new here as most of you know and I quit using vicodin on July 22 of this year.  Well I really messed my knee up on August 7th and figured It would just get better on its own well Its gotten worse so I had to go to the ER.  The doctor asked what I wanted for pain and was willing to probably give me whatever I asked for and I told her anything but no narcotics because I was addicted to vicodin.  I'm so glad I spoke up and didn't relapse.  I will be seeing my new doctor in a few days hopefully this one wont be a pill pusher..

Thanks so much for the support over the past month or two without this site i probably would've relapsed!!  Believe me the addict in me wanted to get some good pills from her.  That little devil was definitely one one shoulder.

Way to go with telling the doctor the truth! He would have wrote you a narcotic, due to legit pain.

good 4 u...most doctors are not pill pushers tho..most have nothing to gain from pushing pills on u..their goal in life is not to make people addicts but their oath is to address pain....there are illegal doctors out there making money off writing scrips but usually u have to seek those out....most doctors are not to blame...we are
