help with quitting vics

i cant seem to taper no willpower guess cold turkey. quit bad alcohol and cocaine addiction cold years ago ,rough but made it with god and AA 5 rough days. now prescribed vicodins for back. should have known better once an addict always an addict. have access to somas and valium have plenty of somas would rather try them ,moneys getting tight but can get valiums, will either help withdrawls?

thank you 2 for replying to my ouestion i am not computer savvy so i get lost a lot i seen a taper schudele under the art of tapering i think i can stick to strict instructions if not ct do you guys think i should knock off the valium to go to sleep?

I agree w/ Ouchie; I couldn't taper either- I don't have the discipline.  CT seems to work the best for most people on here.
Please don't take the Valium unless you've already been on it.  I'm coming off opiates and tapering off Xanax at the same time and I think the Benzo WD is much worse and many people on this site have said the same thing.  Benzo WD takes much longer.  I have a drs apt Tues to hopefully start a safe recovery oriented taper plan.
Hang in there, we are here for you and all in this together.  You can do it.

I'm not sure about replacing one drug with another ie valium, and I too couldn't taper, I would try so hard but would always take way more.
I'm doing it cold turkey, it truly ***** but I don't want to take anything else to prolong the wd days. Good luck we ate here for you!
