nose pain help[

ive been snorting pills for over 10yrs.i haven't went w/o for over 8 yrs. ive started rehab,an on suboxone an it works wonders but my nose is killing me.its been 2days an the pain hasn't quit yet.its so bad I snorted a Tylenol to make it stop hurting alittle bit.is there anything I can take or do to make this process easier.

I would suggest asking your dr they may have something you can do I know when my husband quit chewing snuff he said his gums felt like razor blades he talked to the Dr and she ssuggested getting his teeth cleaned.  He said it was like a mircle he felt so much better.  I am quite sure you have done internal damage to your nose However usually have some pretty good ideas.

Try Saline water, that may help to add some moisture. I would think it might take a couple weeks to heal your sinuses. Do not sniff any other pills or it won't heal. Try to stay out of the cold weather also, and keep a scarf around your face if you are out. Cold is hard on your sinuses. Go to AA/Na meetigs also, they will help for your support staying clean and living a clean and sober life. Make new friends there, who are also clean, and understand how you feel without judgement. I love the meetings and its great to get out with others who look out for your best interest. Stay positive!!!

In my experience it took me two weeks for it to stop.  First the bleeding stopped but it still hurt BAD for a couple of weeks.  I don't know what to take to make it go away but maybe stop up the side that is hurting with some toilet paper to help keep the air out.  It should help but like Vikie said don't snort anything else...there is no way in the world that will help.

I'd see an ENT doctor if i were you. It really needs to be looked at. Hey, now you're on the good side; you're in the process of getting clean. Hi OK You did it right...I just left you a PM....First of all Stop Snorting OK...I was snorting yrs ago the street drugs..Then I was snorting the methedone with the adderral for the last 12yrs...I can say my R I could not do it anymore..I had to do the left..I do not or did not have any pain issues..But I know it takes the hair out that helps to filter things...It also clogs the sinus..I am sure it hurts the Lungs too!!!!You could just be pluuged up and the pain is there...I am sure there will be others here with more issues..This will be very interesting....BUT do not snort any more....OK You are only hurting your nose even more.....
