HEY congrats on 8 days your off to a great start we all just do this one day at a time
keep pushing forward and hook up with some form of aftercare good luck with your recovery God bless.....Gnarly
Way to go! I`m proud of you and the worst of it is over now, it`ll get better everyday from here. Good Job, I knew you could do it :)
Exercise I have to say was the missing piece of the puzzle for me. I USED to lift weights 3 or 4 times a week. Somedays I didnt wanna go to the gym but I ALWAYS felt better walking out. That runners high deal is for all exercise. Proud of you on 8 days!!! That rocks. I have 32 days and youll be there before you know it. If your strong enough to make it the very hard 8 days the world is yours! I hope you enjoy it. Hopefully you know you can NEVER take opiates again. Never.
Congrats on your 8 days that is so great!!!! Also congrats on the treadmill, the treadmill has helped me alot. I have to force myself to get on it but I always feel better after. Your sleep will come back takes awhile for our bodies to adjust.I feel like you feel lucky to be where I am for my age and OH the destruction I did to my body. Some days it amazes me I am in one pieceLOL!!!!! Have a great day!

Hi tavia14. Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear that you are past most of the physical WDs. They are tough, no question about it. I'm on day 21 and life is really shaping up nicely. Your fog will start lifting shortly. I managed the WDs OK too but the second week was very disorienting. It may be just me, but I was "dazed and confused" as my body readjusted to life without using. Example: I would be driving to work and just totally forget where I was, where I was going, etc. Somehwat frightening, but it does pass. Those were some tough days to me as I could only think that if I had one more pill I could figure it all out. Not a chance I was doing that. After day 12-13, I was as back to "normal" as I can recall. Still have some cravings and anxiety, but they are becoming less and less frequent. My attitude has done a comple 180.
Sleep is still elusive, but is slowly coming back. Time has changed. During WDs it seemed to move backwards. During my week of confusion, it was the same. Now it is just whistling by at such a rapid rate, I never have enough of it.
Hope this helps, if not I got to yap for a little while. ;-)
Best of luck and STAY TOUGH, you are on the downside, but still have some tough issues ahead. It is SO worth it, don't even think about breaking now. :-)
All the best to you and yours.
Gary
