Question for you girls

Today makes day 13 yipppeee.  Anyhow about day 8 I started my period.  Yes pms during withdrawl...Do you think this has made it harder.  The exhaustion is getting to me.  Also my periods were never like this while using.  I had a terrible back ache and my ovaries were like twitching like mad.  Was I just masking this with the using?  Any input on this will be greatly appreciated.  Hope this question is ok to ask.
Love,
Kim

OMG yes your period is horrible after w/d's! When I got my 1st period after detoxing off 150mcg of fentanyl I thought I was going to die. I had the worst cramps ever, mirgraine for a week and a half, severely depressed, etc. Everything was intensified and the worse possible! I think it was my worse period ever. It takes a few months for your hormones to straighten out. I had asked the same question when I detoxed in July. Somehting with narcotics messes up your hormones big times, much like it messes up your body during w/d. So your hormones are out of wack b/c of the narcotics. I had found research on it when it happened to me and I had done a post on it in  Aug I think. It will straighten out in a few months. I noticed I have been very depressed during my periods lately but, that is totally normal too. Ive never hated my period more than ever! Good luck! It just takes time and it is normal!

Same here girl. My doc explained to me that, for a "while", I would be over-sensitive.
A "while" is different for each and everyone of us.
Isn't it great to be a woman? LOL
Hang in there.
Congrats on day 13!!!!!!!!!

This is just my opinion, but at 40 you could be going into perimenopausal symptoms. That's about when mine started. Sometimes I don't have one, other times I feel like a teenager all over again! I'm sure the drugs masked some of it, the other part is probably Mother Nature at work. I freak out every time my period is "late"...ACCKKK!!!! The Dr. thinks I'm too old for the "pill", I disagree. I sure don't need a change-of-life baby now!!! NOOOOOO>>>>>>>>>LOL
