awesome answers guys! which ever way you choose to get off the meds YOU have to believe you WILL preserver. with strong will power and support you will get threw it. what doesn't kill us makes us stronger and each day will get better.
well there are 2 schools of thought ......you can taper off slowly and spread out the withdrawal it will be less sever but longer or you can just jump and get it over with in about 4 or 5 days ether way you will break free from them sound like some painful sdurgery a head for you would be a good idea to dry out for a wile that way if you need then they will work we can help you ether way just let us know witch way you choose good luck and God bless........Gnarly
Hi and welcome! You are right there is really no way around it other than through it. It is 3 days of agony and then it's over for the most part, yes you'll feel strung out and tired for a while but the most intense part will last as long as the worst flu you've had. Many of us just told ourselves we indeed had a very bad flu to try to trick our brains - your brain will tell you many things to justify taking a pill "to feel better" but I didn't want to reset the withdrawal clock on myself so I toughed it out.
You can check out the Thomas Recipe or amino acid protocol (scroll down on this page and read "most viewed pages" on the right hand side. I took lots of immodium, I took lots of hot showers which was the only real relieft I got - I would hit that shower every hour on the hour for about 2 days solid.
I'm 49 days today and I remember when I was just first going through everything. Fear is the worst part - fear will keep you from acting. If you want out there is only one way.
This is a great forum with lots of supportive people. Welcome and post often, someone will be here to support you!
You CAN do this!
