It definately is withdrawal from the ativan..I had my cousin call my mom's dr (they used to date) and he said that's what it sounds like. My tongue is numb, my head feels like it is going to pop, kinda like a sinus headache. My ears are ringing constantly and I'm getting waves of panic. The dr wants to write me a new script and get off of it properly....I am a pill popper, he knows I am. Everyone knows I just quit vicodin ten days ago,..he knows all I've been thru this summer...my mom is dying, the miscarriage, getting off drugs. Why would he prescribe me more pills to take? I don't feel as bad as I did yesterday, so I feel like putting him off and seeing if this goes away on my own. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the freak out...maybe I've just had a bad day and I panicked over the way I was feeling. You are right, a month and a half isn't very long. The past nine days have been a roller coaster of anxiety and lots of other wacky feelings. But I felt so good two days ago. I guess I can't expect to just magically feel great so soon. I got some Hylands Calms Forte about two hours ago and it seems to have taken the edge off a bit. I plan on replacing the ativan with this. Thanks guys.

Hi loveJwhite. Vicki gave you some good advice about speaking with our Dr. The memory loss and confusion is very understandable taking ativan and going through wd. actually the ativan should be tapered. it is notorious for memory loss complete wipe out. usually through drinking with them but if you are dehydrated and coming off opiates it is very probable. Congratulations on getting clean and learning about your addiction and the meds that feed it. Take good care of yourself. lesa

You know,I'm not really sure.  It's been two days...and it has a short half life so I can only guess you'll be fine.  One and a half months is not very long to have been on it.
If you have some Ativan left, take a small dose just to cover yourself then call the doctor on Tuesday and get his opinion.

I've taken 2 to 4 1mg since july 6th...quit it at the same time I quit vicodin 9 days ago...I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Can I have a seizure from this? I refuse to get more now that I know this is what it does. Am I in the clear since I haven't had any since friday-besides feeling this way?

Yes...it's probably the Ativan, not really sure though. 7 doses shouldn't do that but who knows???

Keep drinking...flush your system...
