You sound like me. The fog started to decrease then would come and go. Eventually it came less and less. Then I could go days without it. Sounds like you are doing all the right things and eventually you will have fog free days. Hang in there!

Hi vicki is right I have been into studing the diease of addiction and had watched alot of videos on this it talks alot about what we do to our brain when using...Also I know a head dr who says it can take up to a year for ALL substances to heal in the brain and get it fire up????with long use. I am going into my 6th month and it comes and goes, but I do feel clearer then ever before.....
Also jimi is right too. There is alot of info on the natural things that can fire up the brain quicker.......
God Bless us All

Yeah, I keep seeing that come up. I better give it a shot. I have used whey protine before and it gave me lots of energy but it made gain weight :/ but if it will help with this mental fog I guess the weight gain I can work off when I feel better :))

It takes a period of time for our brain chemicals to return to normal and start being produced. I think that's what you're feeling...and it's actually a good sign.

Time is your friend here, along with major distraction. The fog will clear, I can't tell YOU when, but it will. Just work hard at not focusing on it and check into dietary supplements (brain food). It helps greatly. Check the Health Pages for ideas.

Good luck

Hi there......give that whey protein powder a try. Some of the old timers here swore by it. Has all sorts of amino acids to heal the brain. I started it one day before CT. Most of my fog is gone. Although sometimes I get this weird "wah wah wah" thing going on in my head lol.

Anyway, Asaalam Alaikum

Age whos aging....lol jk .... My doctor think I have fibromyligia and with that comes mental fog too but it seems to come and go throughout the day, I do notice when I am busy its not as bad. I would love to feel fog free for a few days again. Hope my wish comes true soon :))) and thank you, I am feeling better. Most of the PAWS is gone and whats left is tollerable except mental fog...lol

God, I wish anything could be totally gone....but I think life has more ebbs and flows. Of course, as the meds are completely cleared from the system the more clear our mind is....but life always bring interesting challenges and there is aging (lol) too. Anyway, glad you are feeling sort of better and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
