Day 10...going to be day 11!!

I can't thank you all enough!
Your pushing me, your tough love, your picking me up when I fell, your tender caring thoughts...,all of it is exactly what I needed!

Today will be 11 days free from those evil pills!
My memory is better, my mind is sharper, I'm focused and present, and I'm gaining my health back!
I never thought it would feel this good...or that it was possible to succeed really.

But here I am....
I still have some tummy trouble (but I mean come on we beat the crap out of our insides through this so it's expected).
Still get angry occasionally, but it passes.
Still get exhausted in the late afternoon.
But ya know I actually have energy to do household chores and I want to do them and I'm enjoying catching up on all these things I let lay by the waist side. I'm putting my life back in order.
I'm so happy to have 10 days.
I'm so happy I look into my baby boys eyes and I feel his joy, his heart and soul. I'm so happy to speak to my husband and truly hear him and know we CAN rebuild this and survive.
Being sober is wonderful! It feels just wonderful.
Every day is a blessing....a blessing that with the help of you all, I am proud to receive.
Thank you from the depths of my heart!

Doing good. Could have taken a tramadol tonight...I didn't!

I'm really putting everything I have into this.
I'm trying to focus on being healthy.
I'm getting proper nutrition, starting to homemake foods, and going to start exercising.
Forget getting back on the horse...I'm getting back on the treadmill :)
When things get a lil rough I just try and distract myself and focus on my son and husband.
Things are finally...finally!!!...starting to look up.

Yes!
I did a lot of research recently on therapists/counselors, outpatient care, etc
I have not placed any calls yet, but found that there are places near me!
I'm excited to find the right fit.

Your post made me teary eyed! I am so happy for you. I am feeling those same feeling. Same afternoon crash everything! Last night I was laying with my son and I looked in his eyes and felt the same way. Also I feel like I ruined by relationship with my Fiance who is awesome, and last night I actually sat with him and listened to him and it was so wierd that I cared about what he was saying. If I was on pills I would have been cleaning not paying attention to anyone!
Good Job! Keep up the Good Work .... I am getting a taste that it is SO WORTH it!
