trying to get off pain pills

hello everyone trying to get off pain pills my 2 day this my 3 or 4 time i have kidney stones alot at least one surgey a year when its all over i keep taking them have been for 15 years thats how long i have kidneystones it takes 4 hydro to do anything my body is hooked i know this feeling bad to day real bad lot time i take 16 to 17 aday every time i try this my body goes crazy my tummy the worse if u know what i mean so if yall got any thing u could tell me that would help and save my life       i thank you

I am 2 weeks with out ocy but,i was taking other stuff to help me get threw a day today is day three with out anything just Tylenol 3 of them in am and 3 in pm it hasn t been easy at all i have no energy each day but i do alot of praying to get threw each day i been on them for 4 years never snorted them just eat them like candy i didn t do it for the high just to get threw the day as i have chrons.I am very scared cause when i get a flare up i know what will happen i will get my pills to stop the pain and i am worried i will get hooked again i just got to keep praying.All i want is energy back anybody have any advice on how to get it back if it will ever come back please help in ny

Hi sweetie, I read this and I feel your pain.  W/D's was the worst days for me I didn't think I could make it and I was taking 10 to 15 lorcet, soma, valium all together.  But like you even that much couldn't stop the pain, my body was immune to the effects of the meds and I was going through the emotional pain of losing my most precious thing life can give you, my daughter, and I didn't want to live like that any more so one day I found the Angels here and God was kind to bring them to me.  What kept me breathing I don't have a clue.  But it can be done and the forum and the angels her can help through your worst times.  You can do this it is like the most horrible flu you can imaging for a week or so like Gizzy said.  Please hang in there and POST POST POST!  It can help you through the hardest times.  You came to the right place hang in there!

Welcome to the forum. Are you trying to cold turkey 17 a day? It's gonna be tough for a few days, if you look on the top right of this page, you will see health pages. In there you will find the thomas recipe which will help. Generally speaking w/d's will last for about 5-6 days, the worst part anyway, but everyone is different. I was not into pills too much so someone can help you out more. Hang in there
