I need info and help please!

My brother had carpal tunnel surgery about a year ago, while recovering from that he broke his ankle. During this time he had repeated prescriptions for hydocodone. It's all been down hill since then. He always has some sort of injury, he works for about a month or two and then he says his body is hurting so bad he says he can't do it anymore so he's back in the doc's office. I recently found out someone he has been getting them from. He is losing everything he has! Someone please tell me is he addicted ? Is that what causes him to constantly be in pain ( back, spine, neck etc.) to the point that he can't work? Please help he has been with this company for two years and been on workmens comp for half.

He won't hear of someone suggesting he has a problem. I truly believe he is in pain but no one knows why (not even the doctors). Do you think he has these pains when he cant get any pills, like withdrawal. He says he stomach stays torn up and he cant sleep at night but I think he's okay when he can get a hold of some hydros.

my guess is he is addicted...his body will create pain to be feed pills.  talk to him see if he will admit it.  most addicts will not.  dont get confrontational..it wont help.  see if he will read the post here,  and if can relate to them.  good luck andkeep us posted
