Hi everyone, I need a little bit of guidance here. I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for over a year now. where i live specialists are very few. I have 2 budlging disks in my neck, osteoarthritis of the spine and spurs. The neorologist we have here thought at first that it should not cause this much trouble. I awoke with a horrible pressure in my skull. For 2 weeks I tried every pain killer out there. I finally went to a chiropractor and in just two visits the pressure in my skull left but I have had constant neck and shoulder pain for over a year now. As soon as my feet hit the floor comes the pain. It is varying degrees througout the day. i have had physio and everything one can do to try and relieve the pain but nothing works. I am waiting now to see a neourosurgeon. Ok lets get to my question. My doctor has put me on celebrex, lyrica, gabopentin and tylenol 3. for the past two months she put me on percoset. I was supposed to take two a day but went up to 4 or 5 a day not just to releive the pain but for the feeling it gave me. I went into the hospital 2 weeks ago with pnemonia. I was released after 3 days. Thesecond day I was home I overdid it again with thepercoset. My husband went to bed and about 10 mins after that he heard a bang. I had passed out. I was taken to the hospital and hada cat scan because I gave my head a hard bang. The doctors could only attribute my fall to the pnemonia, fever and low iron. I have no memory of the fall and no memory for about 24 hrs. Could percoset do that? Either way I am not going to take them ever again. Scared and crying and still have a large bump on my head which is over a week old now.
