Drug withdrawal

I have been on Lorazepam  0.5 mg for one year and afraid to come off it, I only take one pill a day but desperately want to stop but afraid of withdrawal and I can't sleep when I stop taking the drug for one day. Also suffer from anxiety and don't sleep well. Please, can someone give me advice.  Thanks

Another option is to switch to an equivalent (acting) dose of valium (think thats about 5 mg valium)  which has a longer half-life and taper from there.   Best wishes and good luck.

Yes....definitely talk with your doctor!  Don't take a risk with cold turkey on that kind of medicine..even at a low dose!

you have to go to your doctor and have then work you out a taper plan you have been on a small amount but you have been on it for a year .There are real risks if you don't do it without proper taper plan.
