Yay I screwed up again.

Ugh yeah so Saturday I was clean and dealing with w/d's, about 3 days in. My mom wanted 5 vicodins for the week for her leg and asked if I can get them(she doesn't know what I am going through) and so I tried to fight the good battle in my head and lost. I gave in and went and got her some along with myself some. I had a bday party to go to that night also which played a big part in it. Took 5 of them. I did sleep all of yesterday though and just now woke up(like 20 hours of sleep or something crazy). So I am already on day 2 of w/d's but day 3 is always the worst. Day 3 is always my breaking point as others say it is always day 1 and 2 they can't stand. Hm.  Day 4 things get better, a lot better but it's all a mental battle that day just as long as I am occupied things go great. I am gonna tough this out. I've gotta man the eff up and get on with my life. I hope everyone is doing alright though.

I know you said the bday played a big role in your use. But being addicts, there is never a good time to quit. We can make excuse after excuse on why we should put it off another day or two. That day or two will end up being a week, a month, and so on. I'm sure you know what I mean. I've been there many times myself so not trying to judge you.
I agree with the above. I would just tell your mom you decided to stop taking them and it's a little tougher than what you thought. Tell her you can no longer be around them at all. With it being your mom she will completely understand as I'm sure she wants what is best for you.
Just taking those 5 shouldn't have set you back much if at all. Just stick to it and you will make it through. Have you checked in to the amino acid protocol? It really helps heal our mind and bodies a little faster. Also be sure to eat healthy, push the fluids, and exercise. I can't stress exercise enough! I know it's hard to muster up the energy to do so, but force yourself even if it's just a short walk around the block at first. I know when I walked I would throw in the headphones with some of my favorite music and go once it got dark. It would put me in my own little world and I would barely notice how bad I was feeling. Trust me, give it a try!
Just stay mentally strong and know that the physical aspect will get better. Come here and post as much as needed and also answer other posts. It truly helps with the motivation that we need so badly during withdrawals. Hang in there and keep up the good fight. You will come out on top!
Best of luck!

I agree with dominosarah in the aspect that there ain't no way in Heck that I would go and get anyones pain meds.... That would just set me up to relaspe...."2 for you... 1 for me"  "1 for you... 2 for me"  I just know that my addiction would pull me right down that wrong path... So, please don't set yourself up to relaspse again... or ever... It's just not worth your life!

There is no way in Gods green earth i would go and get anyones pain meds even now.  I will never trust myself around them nor would i put myself in that situation.  Are you getting any aftercare?  That is very important in our recovery.  Once we have gotten thru the wd's the real battle begins.........sara

Is it possible to tell your Mom about what your going through? What will happen the next time she asks you to get them? I don't think I could be that strong, addiction is so sneaky so sometimes we have to avoid those triggers that set off those big cravings. Do whatever it takes to stay clean, you won't regret it:) Congrats on 2 days now.
