sister bad on pills

hello all
my sister is getting out of jail next week and she has been there 6 months now she went to jail because she was smoking crack and went in target and shoplifted 300$ worth jewelry they had real 10k gold earrings out on display and she got caught judge gave 6 months and before she went in she was smoking crack weekends, lortabs daily what she could bum off mom and dad cause they on them or she would steal them or money it was bad she threatened  turn dad into doctor so he give pills mess plus she taking xannax now been clean 6mos and she has already wrote in letter than when she gets out she wants some lortabs she says she done with crack and scared death xannax cause withdraws she felt in jail dad told her that no matter what she says or does she will NOT GET LORTAB he said if she has be on something she will do suboxone cause she also has 10 yrs probation ahead her maintain job and clean and pay 3,000 fines to court   we don;t know what to do with her she has not changed one bit ....any advise help please!!!!!!!!!

Sorry you are about your sister it really sounds like you care about her, I really don't know what to say but just give her a chance to demostrate that she is clean and that she will stay that way if not you are going to have to cut your relationship with her  even if it hurts you.

She will be living at my parents house and yes a job is a must. My parents have a lot health problems my mom has vagina cancer and dad has had back surgery so both on pain meds but they don't abuse theirs. She is a very manic person and can be so mean mom just don't have energy or strength to fight with her. She has been told in all letters they have wrote her while she was in jail the rules and that things under no way will go back to how they were but she just don;t care she is all about herself ........

Hi Holliee,

Where is your sister going to live? With your parents? She will need to have rules with consequences. I would recommend weekly drug testing, curfews, she must get a job.
She is going to have to want to stay clean....
