HELP me please decide what to do...........

Hello.  I have been taking Lortab 10/500 mg 6x a day and sometimes 7 or 8 per day.  With taking percocets for breakthrough pain 2x a day.  Now, the regular doc has moved me to pain clinic.  He took everything away and gave me a script of opana er 20mg.  I am soooo scared.  I have an addictive behavior already.  I have L4 herniation, L5 ruptured, S1 herniated and ruptured, and all three dessiccated.  I have fibromyalgia, myofascitis, and myositis also.  I have really been through the ringer with a bunch of pain injections, and now a doctor wants me to move to opana er.  I need to know what the feeling is going to be.  My pain tolerance is HIGH and I mean HIGH!  Is this gonna like whack me out??? Am I gonna be able to be a mom and wife??? Like can anyone HELP ME PLEASE!  I don't do this for a buzz at all.....seriously.  I just want some relief.  But, do not want to be out of it...........Any suggestions out there????????  Thanks.

Hello i think you have a very high tolerance to pain meds and i think you will do fine taking the opana er, as long as you do not take more than your told to take,i don't think it's gonna knock you out or anything,and you can continue to function as a wife and mother,it's sorta like methadone,it can be fatal if abused,it is also an extended relielf med. some times people don't feel the affect and take more and more and over dose,i have been on methadone for 12 years but i do not take more than i am suposed to or mix it with anything else,except what my dr. prescribes.but with all that said i think you will do fine as long as you take it like it says and no more,good luck.hope this helps.

Most of us here are getting off drugs so it may not be the best forum to ask how you are going to feel on a drug I guess I am confused you say you have addictive behavior but you don't take drugs for the high .I am just kind of trying to understand .We do have a great pain management forum you might want to checkout as well.
