Sinus issues are a real pain..I had sinuse surgery 10 yrs ago..lasted bout 5 yrs..then the pressure returns
I think triggers are sumpin we have confront and deal with..as is pain..pain meds do not really do anything to help pain cept make our brain not "care" that we have pain
Sinus maasage, rinses with 250 mLs of salne daily or at least every other day..antibiotics when infected..and plenty of water to keep them flowing..ice or heat helps too...It is more to the source to address it vs masking it with narcotics
I often wondered//tho a chronic painer with plates in my neck so i know i have pain issues...if others deal better with mental and physical pain than many addicts do? Physical pain causes mental pain, and fror me, mental pain is what I used to escape from..mental pain is less bearable to me than physical pain
Managing pain with narcotics caused me alot of mental pain..took a while to figure it out
If u can take narcotics for a week or so and stop without difficulty when the flare up is over...if u can not/using becomes painful
As vicki says you learn to inventively then and find other ways to deal with the tell you doctor that sees you for you sinus problems that narcotics are do longer an option so you are going to have to fine something else to help .with time you will probably find your pain is not as bad as it was when you were in pain meds .
We identify ALL our triggers and learn how to deal and work through them. Pain is a huge trigger,I know. In your case, you need to find a non narcotic alternative for the sinus pain. That way, when it hits you can run to whatever "recipe" you have devised. Get with your doctor on this.
