weaning off roxycodone while pregnant

hi, have been on pain mgnt for over 3 yrs. i just found out that i am pregnant.i am 7 weeks along. i cut my dose in half the day i found out. i take 15mg roxys. my husband told me to wean down 1 pill a week. i wasnt sure how fast to decrease. my doctor appt is not for another 2 weeks. the doc also said to wean slow. i just wanna know if anyone has gone through this<

hi everyone! i was wondering why is it that i am done to 2- 15mg roxys a day and i feel crappy and tied all the time? do u think i tapered too quick? i did'nt take anything before i went to sleep last night...needless to say i did'nt sleep worth a poop! I do break the pill in half so i only to a half every 5 hours or so.has anyone gone through this before?   thanks

when i first found out i was pregnant, i was weaning off of suboxone....i was 9 wks. pregnant when i was completely weaned off (i had already started to taper BEFORE i knew i was pregnant)  and everything is just fine with her!!  it will be ok!! :)  feel free to pm me!!  good luck, best wishes and lotsa baby dust your way!!

thank you! the kind words make me feel a million times better! i am already down to 2 a day. it wasnt a picnic,I was just scared to take them and was also scared to go through w/d while pregnant,. in the next week i should be off all together!

Sounds like your on the right track so taper work with your doctors both your obgyn and pain management slow taper and you and your baby will be just fine

wow that is for a professional to help withi would say. So many here are in your situation so dont feel alone. I wam sure some girls that have been there will come along and help you , but my ( just what i think, i dont have any insight into this) is i would try to get to a doc asap and get there help. Sorry i know this does not help you much but good luck
