On Day #3 of no vicodin- woohooo!

Well- I'm on day #3 and slowly but surely getting there.  I called my Doc last night and confessed, begged for some valium or something to get me through.  He was very nice, and called in 5 0.5 valiums.  They didn't do much of anything- but today I woke up on 5 hours of sleep last night.  Can't beat that.  I also told my Mom and she's been a big help.  Ill get there- and so will you. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm so proud of myself.  I also flushed a whole bottle of tylenol 3's I was sitting on- never took them in the last 3 days- WOW!!!  I'm so proud..... I'm human again :)

I remember you saying you had the chills and sweats really bad and mine are too!  These hairy effin legs of mine- my GOD they're awful.  I refuse to shave- it's totally pointless.  I do still have the bad chills and stuff.  I have a bad cold, and this cough is making me crazy, but other than that, I feel ok.  Fits of anxiety and lots of restlessness- moments of absolutely NO will to do anything.  I'm just SO glad I'm NOT on pain pills, for today, I AM NOT TAKING STUPID PAIN PILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That is so great!  A week ago, I wouldn't have thought it possible, but LOOK AT ME NOW!!!  I'm so proud of myself.  I know the triggers- and I've got to be very very careful there.  My mother-in-law is 1 giant trigger.  I'll just have to wait a few months to invite her down.
Thank you to everyone! Without this board, this wouldn't have happend, atleast not any time soon.  You guys have lifted me up and given me SO many words of wisdom and a shoulder to lean/cry on.  Without your support, and your experiences, and empathy- this would have been so lonely and scarey.  Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I am so proud of you.  That takes a lot of strength to flush the T3.....Day 3.....I am glad you got some sleep.  How are the chills/sweats?  I still have mine and feel like I have a bad cold....but getting better (day 6).  WE CAN DO THIS.

I am glad to hear your doc was nice (I almost emailed mine to ask if I could have clondine but chickened out).  I am also glad to hear your mom is being supportive.

Let's be sure and check in with each other and the forum everyday okay?

Good Job Day 3 !!! And you're sounding really good. By day 5 you'll really start to feel better and with each day even more so. You'll have some good days and bad. Energy can be slow to come back. I can't beleive you got 5 hours sleep last night, thats great. The hard part is still coming, the cravings. Be very aware of your triggers and avoid them if at all possible.  When you get those cravings, get on this forum and post away. You may want to concider some aftercare like N/A.
Keep up the good work and hang in there. Your almost over the hump.

Good for you.  This should be the worst day for you.  All up hill from here.  Maybe day 4 a little bit rough but after that it only gets better.  The only thing is you get really frustated from being exhausted.  Don't confuse that with the actual w/d.  W/d will be getting better but the mental part is still tough.  You sound so great and happy and the fact that you have shared with your DR. and mom shows how serious you are.  Won't be able to ignore it now!!!  You should be proud and keep posting to let everyone know how it's going.  I t so helps other people to read your success and gives hope and motivation.  HAVE A GREAT DAY AND SAVER THE HAPPY FEELING!!!

Way to go on day 3! You should be proud. It is a hard thing to do.You are almost through the bad part of the physical withdrawal. Welcome back to the other side of life.
