loritab withdrawals

I haven't taken a loritab10mg in 7 days. I have been on the Fentenol patch 75mg until yesterday.  I have a runny nose and the chills, is this normal? I have been taking these since Oct. 1, 2008.  I don't want to take them anymore and can do this withuot an detox program.  I just want to know what to expect...

Thanks,

expect detox. its ***** but it is so worth it. im on day 5 from lortabs. bout 10-12 a day. remember to take a hot bath EVERY time the physical pain gets to b to much. muliti vitamin and an extra vitamin c tab every morning. im using tylonol pm to rest but i dont expect to sleep for more than an hour at a time. energy drink every morn for the fatigue. plus this will help[ in the sleep area at night. every day pray and tell urself that u will not use again. i know i still got a week or so to go but it doesnt hurt as bad as knowing u r destroying ur family with that evil b astard addiction. u will make it. use this website every day also. knowing u are not alone was very comforting to me. these people are angels in here. good luck and dont give up. Remember...God is not done with you, this is part of his plan to mend ur broken soul.

It takes longer for the wd symptoms from Fentynal to begin. 75 mcg is a large dose to come off of from what I understand. Another member Jaqui805 has some experience and has given advise on this. I'm sure she would be happy to help you. The weekends are slower on here. I think your wds are probably just beginning. God bless, Corey

I agree that you should be sure to take vitamins and check out the Thomas Recipe on the bottom right hand corner of the page and the Amino Acid Protocol.  That helps very often.  Take hot baths, take walks and exercise even though you won't feel like it.  Drink lots of water as it helps cleanse the body.

I also agree that you should be here every day and let us help you.  You might want to consider a therapist to help with your aftercare.  Sometimes depression can set in after withdrawal.  You are going to feel really sick for a few days and will get better and better every day.

Be strong and BELIEVE in yourself!  I'll say prayers for you!  Good luck!

Hugs,
Janet

Thank you so much for taking your time to write to me. I didn't make it, I bought 3 Loritab off the street.  NOW WHAT..I feel like an IDIOT right now, but, this DRAGON has me by the tail!  I will come back tomorrow, when I'm not so ashamed.  This is very new to me, I thought that it was okay as long as you had a Dr.s prescription...WTF?!!!!!!  I have NEVER been like this. I buried my 21 year old son, Ricky August of 2000..suicide while in prison in his cell.  I buried his brother at age 21, Charlie in July of 2004, motorcycle accident.  Talk about depression, you just don't know.  Sometimes I HATE to get up, for what? My back hurts all the time, I have Arthritis all over my body. My Great Grand Mother went to her wheeel chair at age 53 from this ****. I REALLY HURT BAD!!!!  So, her eI am..WEAK and STUPID, but, HONEST and HOPEFUL.

Honey, So very sorry for all that you have had to go through in this life. Not only having to deal with physical pain but with emotional is really difficult and so easy to want to cover with drugs. I lost a son to cancer when he was 10. I would have never have imagined ever being happy again. I didn't use then. I don't think that I ever would have felt happiness again if I did because I had to let alot of pain go through me to find some peace.

I'm really concerned about you because like I posted earlier Fentynal is a b1tch to wd from and I think that you should find a doctor to help you wean and not jump from 75 mcg patch. The wd will be harder that the wd from Lortab. I'm not trying to discourage you but think you will be alot more successful going down to 50 then 25 then 12.5 under medical supervision. Pain will tend to exacerbate during withdrawals but it will calm down. I had more pain when I used than I do now because the pills stop working and your body can't respond to pain right. I will keep you in my prayers. GBU, Corey

I am so sorry about your son. I KNOW your pain. I HATE when July and August come around, and especially Mother's Day. I got drunk last year and got a DUI, so this year I'm making a SPECIAL attempt to be in DUI school that Sunday I guess to continue to punish myself for what I did.
I am really scared to face this on my own and I thank you for telling me about the weening off the patches, and I will speak to my Dr. about it. I have an appointment next Tuesday. I'm just scared that Iw ill get the script and fill it on the 8th.

Thank you for your prayers, I really need them and your in mine!

My boyfriend is going through cold-turnkey withdrawals from loritabs and perks. He did not tell me he was planning to quit like this so I became aware of it when I woke up early morning to hear him moaning. I've done research and see that this is not going to be easy for him but the person he has become on them isn't easy for many people. I don't know how many he took for how long but I do know that there were days of 6-8 pills taken. He has been taking them for months and starts his morning with them - takes them during the day, usually - and takes them again at night. I am very proud to see what he is trying to accomplish. I want to be able to be strong for him and help any way I can. I also want to be aware of any dangerous affects that might take place by such a sudden withdrawal. Anyone who can offer any advice would be appreciated. I'm addicted to cigs but in the past when I have quit, they've not been like the torture I saw him experience this morning. He is sleeping right now but in a cold sweat. I called the emergency room and they said to call his doctor. I don't want to wake my boyfriend up to get the number, so I'm just hoping to find some direction online while he sleeps. He's going into his 3rd day and if there isn't a medical emergency, I hope he will not have to go to his doctor because I'd bet money that he ends up with a new script. He has a dislocated shoulder which he has had for years. I do not know if that is an excuse to get the meds or if it warrants the amount of perks, loritabs and vicadine (spell?), amount and strength that he's been prescribed. What I do know is that he has found creative ways to make sure he never runs out and always has more than enough. I do not know why he decided to quit these pills so suddenly unless he was able to get a glimpse of what it's costing him with relationships. Anyway, anyone who can tell me how I can best help him and what to expect, please respond. I know him and he won't do a rehab route with this so I've gotta be strong for him. Thank you
