what now

a few days into 24mg of suboxon from heroin, and no sleep and lots of anxiety. last night i relapsed and slept great. now what.  will i go into severe withdrawals from such a short relapse.  the heroin was definetly muted but enough effect was achieved to get some rest.  i'm going to get something prescribed for sleep, and i want to jump back on the wagon but frankly i'm a little freaked out right now.  the switch from heroin wasn't easy.  and i have to hold down a job.

did you wait to be in withdrawals before your first dose of suboxone?
what was your H usage before you started sub?
maybe 24 mgs wasnt enough at first...i have found time and time again that you may need more for the first few days or so, until the H has completely left your system, at that point you can taper down to a more comfortable dose. i transitioned from methadone to sub, i was on the max dose of sub for 6 weeks (32 mgs a day) i am now at 12 mgs and started tapering again last night to 10 mgs...i have been on sub since may, and it has helped a lot of people and saved a lot of lives.  i slept through the night my first night on sub...maybe ask your doctor for some clonidine (not klonopin) to ease the induction?  it helped me tremendously, as i got put into precipititated WD's and it was a rough transition for me...but i made it and am glad i toughed it out...if your serious about stopping the chase to get the buzz, you can succeed with sub...but it is a commitment that you have to adhere to rather strictly.
if you have any questions, shoot me a PM.

Havent taken sub but is that a fairly high dose?  Have you talked to your doc about it not doing the trick?  I know one thing...if i would not have quit the pills, i would have eventually lost my job...then after quitting all the bad days I had made me worry again about losing my job...it is hard to work when u feel like ****......calling in and leaving early....i had to get thru this and at 6 weeks it is much better...i actually decided that quitting drugs was more important than my job...so if i lost it then i just did.......then i would find something else...hang in there.....do get something for sleep..if u r working then u have to sleep...I took some time off but u still have bad days off and on for a while...do the best u can at work.....but dont start back using so that u can work

I'm a pain pill person myself and am on Sub too. I don't know much about the herion, but maybe some one will be on soon that can help you. Get back on the Sub. though, I know that much.

You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down but the staying down.  Mary Pickford

just a quick quote a wonderful woman I met on here shared with me, best advice I can give in this situation. Get back up, dust yourself off, and keep on keepin' on : )
