which way to go?

I've been taking both morphine & hydrocodone for years,under the mgmt of a pain dr for back pain & other stuff.I've more or less been good,but I know I'm starting to maybe have a problem.anyway,thru no fault of my own long story I was forced to go cold turkey this week.tried to find a suboxone or other program to no avail.so,long story sort _km starting to feel a bit better & now I get contacted by a dr for help.I still feel tons of back pain etc.and I understand the way these meds work on the brain.so,would you go to the dr or just continue to white knuckel it?i'd like to get out of bed someday.

For the reminder betweenaddicted & depandented.so few people see that.I have taken drugs in my youth,but never pills.and I stopped all that crap when I got preggo 18 years ago.the only "high"I get is when the pain is gone & I can get out of bed & make dinner for my family,etc.I just wanted to say thank you again.I know I'm dependant on the meds,butthat doesn't make me a bad person.may the god of your choice bless you all.

I totally agree with above post.
If it were me I would go if you do have real pain and talk to them
Just like above post said be honest tell them what and why you think you
May have a problem.
You maybe addicted and you may just be dependant.
There is a difference.
It's your call but if it were me I would go and at least talk to them and if you don't want to continue the meds maybe they can give you something to be thru WD and a non narcot pain med or other options.

If it were me, i'd maybe see the doctor BUT tell him you might have a problem with narcotics....that you were either dependent or addicted to them...maybe he can give you an alternative for the pain mngmt....good luck with it!  keep posting for support...great people on here...
