I'm not trying to be rude. It's just very difficult to follow. Your posts are very informative although.
Dude learn how to use a period honestly.
Hey dude glad you made it threw work ....take a few days off and everything piles up just remember we do this ''Just for today'' cant do anything about yesterday and if you worrie about tomorrow you will miss today going back to work can be overwhelming especially
if your use to using at work but you proved you can do it today now get focused on your sobriety and put one form of aftercare in place time to start working on your recovery hit a meeting or 2 but dont skip this critical part of recovery good luck and God bless....Gnarly
I am so glad work went well. I stayed working thru the withdrawls and it actually helped. Im a waitress so being friendly and forcing that smile was my meal ticket BUT it helped me 2 stay positive. Hang in there my friend. your doing AWESOME
Just wanted to thank everyone know that while today was about as bad as my job can get, I didn't seem to really care, not in the I'm on pills and everything is numb not caring, but in the stuff happens and I can only control my life(if that makes sense, I don't want to sound selfish or self centered, like obviously by helping the less fortunate I'm making a difference, but if someone is pissed off at a curtain situation than I can't control that, they would be yelling at whoever they talked to and the stack of mail which looks so daunting is part of my job, its not a curse to have work to do, its a blessing). I was so very scared that I would step back into the office and all I could think of would be pills and stuff, but the thought wasn't there, I know that any time it can rear its ugly head, and I know this is only day 6 but life is just so clear, its not glossed over. Feels great and I'm looking forward tomorrow, which I haven't felt like for along time. But even though I'm excited about life again, I just have to remember to keep it simple and not put the cart in front of the horse..... So once again THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for listening, for the suggestions, for everything.
Hey, I hope you are having a stress free day, the cravings are so hard, step into a new environment,- bathroom- clean your face, step outside- take deep breaths, think to yourself that you are doing so well and be proud. Let me know how it works out!!
I have a little post it note where only I can see it that says "minute by minute I am getting better". When the stress gets bad go for a walk to get a drink of water. It will do double duty, excercise and increase fluids to keep detoxing. Good luck.
Hope you are doing well today , Richda... you said that your job has some stressful moments so i think i would try the relaxing stuff before and after work.... exercising, meditation, having relaxing moments, walking ... everything so that you arrive with your "peace and love" batteries charged ;) and of course, aftercare so you learn dealing the addictive behaviour and so.
Hey you will do fine just take it one day at a time or as they say...''just for today'' try not to be a clock watcher time goes by slower when your not high I highly recommend finding some form of aftercare both N/A and A/A are free and you are free to express your emotions to people that will understand how you feel its also good listing if you dont care to speak
but you will learn how to deal with life clean and sober....as addicts we need to change the very way we think to beet this thing you will always be a work in progress but get some recovery care and you will be successful good luck and God bless....Gnarly
