Hey guys. I've had OCD and anxiety for most of my life, so I'm wondering if I'm overreacting or not. A few months ago, I got bit my a friends dog. It was a pretty deep bite, but we cleaned it immediately and it healed within a week or so. However, after that I had a spike in anxiety (specifically about my health) and I've been noticing changes in my memory and a frequent brain fog. At first I thought these were just byproducts of my anxiety, as they're not incredibly new or anything. I also have been having bad GI issues and I had an endoscopy a couple of months ago that showed nothing. Stomach pain, diarrhea, joint/muscle pain are all other symptoms too that I have been experiencing. Yesterday after a shower, I noticed these three little raised lines that look like scratches on my shoulders, and I looked up what it could possibly be. The first thing that came up was Bartonella, and I got so paranoid that I immediately went to the ER. They did blood tests and a stool sample since I brought up that it could possibly be a parasite. I'm waiting for the results, but I keep worrying that they're not going to find anything but I will actually have Bartonella and go insane because I don't know if they're doing the right tests to find it. Anyways, I would really like to hear some advice on people with anxiety and/or Bartonella to tell me if I'm overreacting or not. Thank you so much!
