I am also on klonopin but only take 1mg about once a week if that. I use it to help me sleep. Sometimes I have terrible insommnia and it is the only thing that works. I have tried everything else. I hope because I am not a regular user that this makes a difference. But I am not sure. Does anyone else use it infrequently? and is pregnant? I am 12 weeks along and have gotten different opinions. I talked to a pharmacist too who told me that is wouldn't be their first choice for me and one doc told me I should be fine if I use it rarely. anyone else out there?
lol...I guess you already talked to the doc.-should've scrolled down farther!
Just talk to the doctor. Taking Klonopin at such a low dosage may be acceptable if the benefits outweigh the risks. Cleft pallet is one risk. Also, if Klonopin makes you uncomfortable (I used to take it, take Xanax XR now), there may be another drug in a different category that you could try. There are a few anxiety/depression drugs that can be taken during pregnancy. Don't freak out, and don't mess with your dose until you have spoken with the doctor...
thank you fo ryour comments i did talk to my doc he said just take it as needed and like i said ive went down from 3 a day to 1 every other day but you always hear bad stuff and it just freaks me out but thank you for responding :)
You need to Google> klonopin and pregnancy, your question will be answered. Talk to your doctor about this. I wouldn't stop taking the klonopin to fast. Fortunately you do not take much so don't worry.

Hi there,
You must take the advice of your doctor or midwife its always best to check on any meds when pregnant,
Take care,
janis.
The only effect I have ever read about, is that it can get into the breast milk. Never really seen any other bad effects. Just be sure to let your doctor know. He / she will put you right on what you should and shouldn't do.
