Weird symptoms anxiety?

I have had severe anxiety after a dystonic reaction for several months and recently started developing physical symptoms. My muscles twitch all the time, most annoying is my lip. I can sometime feel it even when I'm talking. I have  tight muscles( shoulders, neck, back, calves & hamstrings). I have seen a neuro and had a mri, nerve conduction and he tested some of my leg muscles with an emg ( thigh &shin) he said I looked uncomfortable and said we could stop because he didn't really see a reason to keep going.  Anyway all is normal except vit d deficient. Has anyone experienced this with prolonged stress and anxiety?

Hang in there. Things will right themselves somehow. This site is a good source of support and know, that with all of these "freaky" symptoms, we are not alone in our feelings.

The weirdest thing is that my lip always twitches. It does it when I'm talking sometimes and it feels weird. It doesn't affect my speach but it freaks me out.

I've had it on a heightened level recently. I had my first panic attack in 2005 after which I was prescribed xanax. I soon became addicted to the xanax, unbeknownst to me that this would happen. Recently, I weened off the xanax and the muscle tightness, sense of disequilibrium worsened and has yet to correct itself even with the addition of SSRI's like Lexapro, Zoloft and BuSpar.

How long have you had these issues? Did you start out with anxiety?

I've experienced those same things too. I thought "there has to be something wrong with me" because the symptoms are so strange and don't fit any medical condition as far as I know. I've had every medical test for it and nothing. I have really strange feelings in my legs, kind of heavy like. I stay constantly wound up with tension in every part of me. The meds don't seem to address this. The twitching lip I've only noticed on occasion, but my face does have quivering. I hope you find resolution as I continue to search myself.
