Just an update!

So, October 8th was my pseudomeningocele repair and LP shunt removal, I had surgery for a leak 10 days later and then a third surgery Last week for an abscess at the incision site and removal of the fibrin glue that did not seem to be biodegrading... still feeling crappy and was vomiting again last night so they changed my meds again and added a new anti-nausea.  Trying levofloxacin and prochlorperazine now.... who knows how this will go.  Last night was terrible and I could not eat or drink yesterday because my stomach was so bad but today I have eaten a little.  I know things have to improve at some point but it has been the longest month of my life and thing are just difficult.  I feel like I am missing out on all the stuff with my kids and just depressed about feeling sick 24 hours a day!  I know they will get me better but it is so hard not knowing when.  The chiari frustration continues.  On a good note, the one thing I don't have is a headache and that incision is healing well :)  Probably 1/4 inch of new hair back there!  I really appreciate all the kindness shown by everyone here, it is so nice to have support from people that understand!  Thanks- Zygy

With a EDS dx comes the reality we heal slower then the general masses.....so we have to learn patience....I know easier said then done.

Know prayers are being sent ur way for this to be the answer and the end of surgeries for u ....

Glad to hear the HA's r gone.... : )

Depression is also a normal post op issue...know that and fight it off...especially at this time of yr...daylight savings time is deff a  time when more develop depression from the lack of sunlight....so try and sit by a window to get as much sunlight as u can to help combat those feelings.

Hang in there : )
