Yea!!!! i went from an obese BMI to an overweight BMI!

i am super excited about that.. as of today I am 214.8 lbs.... i have lost 4 1/2 lbs in the last week.. And I am pregnant! I am almost 14 weeks pregnant! So loosing weight can be done while being pregnant and I am perfectly healthy and so is this little baby!!!!  my belly has gotten bigger though .. which i knew would happen but my legs and arms are shrinking! YEAH!!!!   I started my weight loss journey at 241 ...  i am so excited for myself!  I was one of those people who said exercise and diet doesnt work for me.. but boy when i buckled down i started seeing results.. now when i hit the second trimester the doctor said i have to up my calories by 300 a day for the baby.. so ill have to eat 1800 instead of 1500...  and im only allowed to do moderate exercises and no new exercises .. i still jog and ride the stationary bike.. i also walk alot!

Congrats all the way around then.  Frankly, your BMI is now lower than mine- I'm still obese at 181 lbs, though I am coming down.  But I have started running, even though in the past I didn't believe it advisable until I was around 175 or less.  Frankly, it accomplishes a lot for me and I have a much easier time eating properly and abstaining from alcohol when I run.  Gives me will power, keeps me from being depressed, etc.  My knees are going (I'm 52) and I still don't care.  I feel that getting my weight down is more important than anything and running helps me far more than walking does.  I get tendonitis from walking, sore from running.  I've been a runner since I was in the Army in my early 20's, a recreational runner following, and I often would fall away from running- and get fat again.  But when I go back to running, I get back in shape quickly and I get back in shape very quickly.  Tonight I ran 3.45 miles, 45:45 mins, 13:17 mpm but I did it.  And I'll tell you- my butt is looking fantastic!  :>

You go girl.

yeah im 5'11 :)  yeah he knows Im jogging.. he told me its okay since I had been doing it before I got pregnant but he told me not to run or increase my pace...  He told me i can do it as long as my body lets me.. if i get any warning signs im suppose to tone it down to walking.

Way to go!!!  That is always a HUGE milestone for me, going from obese to overweight BUT how tall are you????  You must be very tall for 214 to be your overweight category!  Congrats on the pregnancy but does your doctor know you are jogging?  I'm yet in the obese category and don't usually run until my weight is lower but I'd be concerned about it when pregnant, not if I was in a normal range but simply because you are so overweight and it is such a stressor carrying all that weight.  To disagree with myself, running/jogging is one of the only exercises I prefer because it helps my mood, will power, and muscles so much.  Keep up the good work!

That is great! My BMI is 31.6, so I still have 1.6 to lose before I am officially only overweight! What an accomplishment, WOO HOO!

That is really great!  It's a huge goal of mine to drop below the obese line, which at my height is right at 200 lbs.  So it'll be a double victory, to no longer be obese AND to breach the 200 mark!  I'm about 30 lbs away, and I think it'll take me a long time.  Your achievement is inspiring!

Fantastic!  That is a goal of mine that I hope to hit soon.  Sounds pretty bizarre to say you want to be overweight doesn't it.  What a great achievement!
