That's uncomfortable and makes you feel like you are going crazy. I've had that before too. I had something called labyrinthitis Here is information on it. https://www.webmd.com/brain/what-is-labyrinthitis#1. It was like a bacterial issue and I ha ringing and fullness in my ears as well. Do you feel anything like that with the ringing? For some people tinnitus gets worse with stress. So, work to keep that low. And they can do something called retraining if it continues. This is basically where a noise similar to the sound you hear is played for a long period at the same time. Not sure why it works, but guess it does. An earn nose and throat doctor may be a good specialty to see and if this is annoying you like it did me, I recommend it. Hope it goes away soon.
Tinnitus is the perception of noise in the absence of an acoustic stimulus outside of the body. Because tinnitus is a symptom and not a disease, its underlying cause must be determined to best help patients. The most common identifiable cause is sensorineural hearing loss caused by presbycusis or occupational noise exposure. It can also be caused by other otologic, vascular, neoplastic, neurologic, pharmacologic, dental, and psychological factors. More serious causes, such as Meniere disease or vestibular schwannoma, should also be excluded. You should see a doctor for further evaluation. The following is a sample diagnostic approach to patients with tinnitus: https://www.aafp.org/afp/2014/0115/p106.html
