ENT question

Recently ( 6 months ago ) I developed tinnitus in my left ear... it is a pain, but I could live with it... At some point after that I started having headaches and felt dizzy from time to time... and now it is getting worse. I had an MRI because of the headaches and it was clear and I also met with an ENT regarding the ear issues and he did not seem to think anything was wrong...

My question is... Is the fluid build up in the ear that causes Menieres CLEAR to see or can an ENT miss this when doing a normal examination?  I only ask because my ENT did not seem to think there was anything amiss... Unfortunately, I am still dizzy all the time, I have tinnitus, I have a fullness in my ears ( and they pop quite often ) and  I still suffer from headaches on a daily basis... If I don't have Menieres then I would sure like to know what the hell is going on.

Thanks della,

I am going to see my doc again soon... I just assumed that IF I had Menieres the ENT man might have been able to spot something. As far as he was concerned my sinus's were fine and my hearing test did not reveal much untoward... But I DEFINITELY have a siren going off in my ears 24/7 and the dizzy spells have increased. Thanks again

I have had that same problem in the past and I found that Flonase gave me some relief
but you would be amazed of how much sinuses can affect things,I believe there
is a special test for the Menieres and usually there is a train going through
your ears or a sharp blast.Eustacia.maybe push the issue with the doc and
be persistant as your condition.Good Luck and if you have to pursue another
opinion.
