Possible Acoustic neuroma

My 14 y.o daughter has suffered from tinnitus for approx. 2yrs since an ear infection.  She has occasional mygraines(runs in the family, I also do) .  Mygraines are discriptive of a TIA.  Saw a neurologist around 4 yrs ago to check her out physical exam only.  Later the tinnitus started as mentioned.   She also experiences daily tingling on the right side of her head for pasr few months.   She is currently attending therapy for her vision regarding optical mm inbalance.
Another odd symptom her 3rd and 4th toe on the right change color bluish or red daily regardless of temp.  She also feel she urinates a lot.  (neg. for UTI has been a complaint for a couple years).    The tingling on her head has got my attention.  I first became aware of it when the had a mygraine and disregarded it that was a couple months ago.  Mygrains have decreased this past year.  Since started eyetherapy her other headaches are not as often.  The past week I have been putting together all her concerns.  Am I overly concerned regarding these symtoms could it all be from her ear with exception of foot and urine concerns?

Tinnitus was the first thing I noticed until it led to other symptoms.I then had many of the same symptoms as your daughter and I figured out what it was after much suffering.  She might be reacting to radiation from the following sources -- wifi (wireless router), cordless phones (esp. DECT), cell phones -- so long as they are on (even if not in "use") or gaming systems (they transmit from console to joy sticks). shutting them off is the first step to recovery -- then check out electro sensitity or electromagnetic sensitity.  at least make sure they are not near your bed when you are sleeping -- also move electrical appliances away from your bed (i.e. alarm clocks)  MRI's and CAT scan are super high in radiation -- so they will only make people like us feel worse.   Also see Canada's WEEP intitiatve.  You are not alone!

best of luck and feel better. Carol761

If she has unexplained unilateral tinnitus (especially if it's on the same side as her tingling), I would think they'd want to do an MRI. Have you seen an ear specialist?

Hi!  one of the symptoms of blocked ears is tinnitus.   have her ears cleaned w/ ear drops.  any brand will do.  lying down on her side is the best way to do it.  let it soak for at least 30 min. to an hour once a day or twice for 4 to 8 days.  hope this helps.
