I have had pulsatile tinnitus since mid January following an ear infection with a cold. I tried steroids and lately antibiotics. I was told my ear drum is retracted and dull and that the left inferior turbinate is obstructing the left eustachian tube opening causing liquid to accumulate near the jugular vein which runs through the ear
I have seen 3 ent docs.. all suggesting different imaging.
MRA
MRI/MRA with and without contrast
CV of temporal bone and CTA with and without contrast
I am very nervous of radiation (as a ovarian cancer survivor) but want to do the most relevant imaging. What would be first choice in your opinion please??
