hi my 3month old  baby only has a bowel movement once every 3 days its always watery and dark green in colour he also passes a huge amount of gas everyday which is really smelly this is happening since birth

Then its likely the formula has iron in most are fortified with iron and its known to make their stool green ask the doctor what you should change it to if he thinks thats what it could be ...good luck .

If you are breast feeding him it could also be from the foods you are eating , check your diet and see if there is anything would upset him..

hi thanks for your reply i had to bring him to the er the seems to think it could be hirch sprungs disease he is goin to make an app for him to see a surgeon

It sounds like your son has some sort of digestive problem or infection. Green stools mean that the food is not being absorbed into the intestines and there is excess bile in the feces. He needs to see a gastroenterologist.
