Acquiring HIV from vaginal sex

Why do so many doctors everywhere claim it is so hard to contract HIV through vaginal sex yet the primary infection mode is through heterosexual mode (even for males)... I dont get how this all adds up and works?

are the people testing positive lying about their lifestyles or ?? .. something about it all does not add up... considering the transmission rates that doctors are giving..

A) Condoms are not always fullproof - It's called a condom breaking
B) I wasn't even referring to any incidents .. ?

I was curious on people's thoughts and how such large transmissions work as I said that many doctors claim there to be a 1/300 - 1/1000 sort of chance yet so many heterosexuals contract the disease ...

Use condoms when having sex if not in a relationship and you will not have a worry.
