HIV transmission through fresh cut

about 2 weeks ago I had a sexual encounter with a transsexual, prior to this I was opening a beer bottle and I broke it, cutting my finger about 1/2 inch long and a bit deep. not thinking about it we continued and I believe that some of this persons' semen came into contact with my cut. I will get tested soon but I need some input on transmission of HIV through blood. Is it very possible that I might test positive or am I trippin'? And if this is possible, then for a transmission to occur, the other person must have the virus, correct? thank you for your input!
