I'm Toast - I know I got HIV. I have optic neuritis

Hi, just came back from my doc yesterday morning who said I have optic neuritis. That is inflammation of the optic nerve cause by HIV / Viral infection / Bacterial infection

My exposure was nothing, just a massage with handjob and nipple sucking. I didn't do anything. I think I got the virus from hand or the table.

I knew something wasn't right my eyes started hurting, headaches, burning mouth, toothaches, enlarge lymph nodes, Severe cheek pain inside, gum inflammation

How do you tell others? Your love one.

I have all the symptoms of low immune system.

My test was Duo At 4 weeks neg and oraquick fluid test at home 7 weeks - neg - none of these are reliable as it takes 13 weeks for final results.

I have all the classic symptoms. Dr. Hunter says you can't get anything..Well I'm first.

I'm done and toast.

The lady took one tube of blood and off it went for syphilis and HIV testing. Both came back as non reactive.

My question is p24 antigen multiples enough to be in the blood?

So are you saying the duo test is very accurate and more sensitive?

The blood was enough?

Things move on and we know more about testing now.

Your test was defo 28 days, these tests can pick the a antigen up fro ten days, I have personally known 11.

The test not only looks for the a Antibody but also part if tge virus, namely P24.

Your test is conclusive, even if you had engaged in unprotected sex with a HIV infected person, your test result still stands.

You need to accept your test and move on... There are for the record far more false positives than negatives with modern tests.

Thanks James. That really helps calming me down. You know all the weird symptoms are crazy one after another.

James - What was your exposure? And you had a duo test?

See one of my doctors told me that I must til 3 months because even duo test gives a false negative. 28 days for DUO is not enough because of false negative.

When I first got my 28 day duo test neg I was happy and went on with life, then my do said its not enough. So I started worrying more because of my symptoms not exposure.

I had the classic rash on palate, enlarge lymph nodes both armpit painless non  tender, mouth sores et... All the symptoms dr hhh talks about.

I was expose July 15 at (11 pm) and took a DUO on Aug 12 (at 12) - so what does that make 27 days or 28 days.

Dr. Hhhh says you must wait few days after 28 days for conclusive duo results.

Why test again?  Your result will not have changed!! A negative 28 day test is conclusive, your symptoms are just not relevant.

I wasted months of my life doing what you are doing, - difference is I had a potential exposure you my friend have not.

Everyone on here is giving you the best advice, this combined not only with your no risk situation but also a negative test proves you do not have HIV.

I cannot state in any more clearly, you are okay buddy and do not have HIV!!

You can let yourself off the hook now and relax :)

Best Wishes

That is the thing, I never did. What's up with the symptoms. I wouldn't make them to get attention.

For starts, How did I get Reactive Arthritis from handjob? I've read Dr.hhh and cook thread on RA and it happens with a bacterial / gastro infection. I did not have gastro infection, I did have bacterial from handjob.

Like why me?

They're for real. The new one is white jelly type of goovy that appear on top and bottom gums as well cheeks.

I mean I can't have a rare virus and go straight to aids that quickly.

I'm having too many symptoms.
