HELP ME!

HI, i'm new to this community and to tell the truth i've been longing to this. Um....i have ear problems since i was a kid and have been operated when i was barely 9. now, i can't hear properly especially during morning and evening. I can only hear 66 db and above. Does that mean or might it be because of the operation done????PLease i'm in great need and i'nm still in  high school so, i can't lose my hearing.....

Hi again,

First, hearing aids only buzz (feedback) if the earmolds are too small. Growing children tend to need their earmolds replaced frequently, since their ear canals are growing. Maybe that was why your hearing aids gave feedback when you were young.

Hearing aids may be worth a try. I would definitely go for it, if I were you. The hearing aid companies typically give 30-90 day trial periods (at least here in the U.S., not sure about other countries), so ask your audiologist about that. If so, you could return them if you don't like them.

That definitely is embarrassing when you misunderstand and give the wrong answer! Way better to use hearing aids, even if you are a little embarrassed about how they look. There are some cute colors today, though!

As far as what caused your hearing loss, it is hard to say. There are many reasons that a doctor would have drilled into them. The problem they were trying to fix could have caused the hearing loss, especially since it has been progressive. Or it could be unrelated. I doubt it is because of the surgery, because your hearing loss would have been sudden and probably stable.

:)

um..Thank you first of all. I was still young but i asked my parents and they told me that they(doctors) drill my ear. i know it sounds funny but that's how they said it was.

I haven't tried hearing aids since my dad said that they buzz all day.

Yes,My hearing has deteriorated as i grow and i have to sit in the first bench at school to hear my teachers. Still having trouble though at conversing.

I'm embarrassed to talk to others as i sometimes gave wrong answers.

Thank you once again and hope you'll reply to this the same. See ya
