Good for you that you have such an easy and effective solution to your problem. Do you know what condition you actually have that causes the elevated rate and/or abnormal rhythm? A-fib does not yield to coughing so it must be something else.
I have no idea my what condition could be, I do have a Dr appt in Jan. but I asume it isn't life threatening since it's been going on for a few weeks to a mo now. The pain isn't real bad, almost feel like a straining of some type but only last a few seconds, goes away as soon as the rythum is corrected, I dad does have A-fib. I thought that was what i was dealling with also until the pain came into play.
Just tried it,
makes it worse for me.
The vasalva manoever makes my tachy worse too.
Anyone with tachycardia problems been in a life or death-emergency?
I was today and believe me, it *****! :)
Sounds like its time for another stress test. Alot can happen to our bodies in a year. I would def. call the doc and tell him/her what is going on w. you and if you get short of breath with the symtoms you described in your post you need to hit the emergency room as soon as you can. You may want to also check w. your doc to find out if its okay for you to take an aspirin a day as a safety measure. Who would have thought we'd have all of these problems when we were younger? I think we're the lucky ones because we're still on this site....Good Luck.......
