very worried.

I've been having mild chest pain, palpitations that make me dizzy for quite some time. I was referred to the hospital and the consultant ordered tests. I had a 24 hour heart monitor, heart scan and treadmill test.  They haven't found anything to cause concern and have discharged me back to my gp. I'm at my whits end with it all. My symptoms are worse, I can't even lay down to sleep as it feels like my heart goes into a weird rhythm.  Some advice would be great. I have no stress or anything.x

Did you have the symptoms while you had the monitor?  If not then you can try and ask for a 30 day monitor to catch it.  Otherwise have your thyroid checked.  So long as the heart is healthy odds are what you are feeling isn't a danger to you.  It could be some simple tachycardia that can be helped with some lifestyle changes or it can be some extra beats, pacs in the atria or pvcs from the ventricles that can also sometimes be alleviated with lifestyle changes.  Drink lots of water.  Stay away from caffeine, sugars and carbohydrates as much as possible.  If you have acid reflux work on that and if you have low bp then maybe add some salty snacks.  Also if you take on a regular cardio routine it may help your heart get more conditioned and help you feel better. Maybe ask to get a copy of your monitor results to see if there are any extra beats happening.  Sometimes the doctors don't mention them because they really are not a big concern in an otherwise healthy heart but when we feel them and do not understand what they are it can be scary so ask for a copy of the results and see what they say.  And try some of the things I mentioned and see if it helps.  Take care.

This still could be undiagnosed Anxiety. I would also see a Eletrophysologist ( not sure on the spelling)
