natural meds never work alone, one must use anything onlywith nucs in combo if wanting.
my testing with natural medicines wasn't completed successfully as I got very sick with a severe infection of my throat, gums and mouth...then measured the ALT and DNA at almost the peak of the infection (and those results didn't improve since the baseline, but my guess is that this very strong infection might have negatively influenced my results...but we will never know for sure...)
About 2 weeks after my infection resolved, I measured my ALT again and it dropped from 70 to 43 (it was consistently in 60-70 range starting from beginning of January till the end of March (I measured it aproximally once per month).
As my fibroscan went from 4.8 in October to 6.3 in February (and it is probably even higher now) I decided to initiate the treatment and started with NUCs last week (a day before I found that my ALT dropped to 43). I think it was a right time to start with medicines for me...wish I started it few months earlier though...
no influence on hbvdna for sure
Reporting back.
First of all, I didn't fully stick fully to my original plan.
The two products that I used regularly/daily during my mini trial lasting 26 days were:
- camel milk
- manuka honey
I used royal jelly for the last cca 10 days, and just few times consumed black seeds.
Today I got back my ALT and AST results.
My ALT stayed the same as on my baseline measurement = 70.
My AST however dropped from 50 to 35
Still waiting for my DNA results.
I must ephasize that my final blood tests were done 1 day after I developed a very strong sore throat (1 day following my blood tests my body temperature was 38.3). I am not sure how much this infection influenced my results...
Hope things will be normalised now.
Today I ended this small personal trial as I have developed yesterday a bad throat infection. I did today my alt and DNA tests and will report them when they are back,
forget about nicotinamide, studyforhope said the doses are too high, if you like you can try safe doses til 3g daily for a small period just to see and keeping an eye on alt
Have you considered
milk thistle?
Vitamin C ascorbated powder?
Making your diet gluten free?
In my opinion if the values dont reduce within a month then its not working
Turmeric in ghee (medium chain fatty acid like coconut oil won't be like saturated fat) and black pepper add-on. They have synergistic effect.
Turmeric honey, green tea is what I use, including some of the items on your list. Maybe look up "golden milk", which is a drink made from turmeric. I have a friend who makes it, and he drinks a lot. Kale smoothies are good too.
More importantly, what did your hepatologist say? Maybe seek a second option, just to see what they will say.
Hi Stef
Which brand vitamin D3 in India do you suggest?
what about trying nicotinamide?you ll be perfect to test it because not on treatment and with a story so lowering can be probable from it
use it daily this is very important because stable levels in cells are better
Remind of myself before I start IFN.
Take at least 3,000iu of Vit D3 daily (start with 1,000iu and work them up), extra virgin unrefined coconut oil 2 tablespoon per day (start with 1 teaspoon daily and work yourself up), and lots of green tea.
Good luck !!
vit d3 if you are not already taking, at least for this we have research it lowers hbvdna but not clear it though and helps liver to contain damage
