I have test results from the red cross after I donated blood and they say HBsAg screen positive, HBsAg confirmatory Test negative, Hepatitis B core Antibody Screen negative, HCV Antibody Screen negative. Does that mean I have Hepatitis B? Or does that mean I don't?
99,9% you have had a false positive but since we don t know red cross machines retest hbsag and hbsab if possible and choose a lab who has an abbott architect machine because it is the most sensitive
and if you want to get close to 100% also check hbcab igm if red cross tested hbcab igg (or reverse if they tested igm) and hbvdna pcr with sensitivity 10-20iu/ml
if results are totally neg i suggest hbv vaccine hbv is easy to get...almost impossible to eradicate once cronic
