Herpes HSV1, HSV2 or both?
Here's the bad decision I made. I am 47 and never thought I would again have to worry about sexually transmitted diseases again. Then My wife cheated on me twice and we have been split up for the last 10 months. I did some online dating but nothing went anywhere. I was desperate and met another woman online who was a little more adventurous. The first night, May 4, we met and only French kissed. I went to her place late on May 9 And had unprotected oral and vaginal sex and she also gave me oral sex. We did this again on May 11. It was certainly nothing long-term and I met another woman on Friday, May 12 and ended up French kissing her. The night after i met the second woman texted me indicating she was had HSV1 but had no breakouts for the past 10 years. She wondered about a relationship going forward. I decided to drop it.
On May 19 I developed a sore throat (15 days after French kissing the first woman and 10 days after having oral sex), I had something like an ulcer in the back of my throat and also a big headache. My that was very red.The ulcer went away but then seem another one seem to break out on the right side. My glands were also swollen and sore. This went away and then my lips started to burn. I did not have any cold sores that I would associate with herpes but I seem to have a few extra pimples including a few very small ones on my nose. I thought these could be herpes related, but I also was using a new sunscreen. My eyes off so it itched. My lips feel as if they received a case of sunburn and still are bothering me today, June 9 and they hurt worse than before. Mt throat still hurts and seems to have small bumps from time to time. I have no visible sores on my lips. Earlier this week anus started to itch, and today I noticed a few breakouts on my inner thighs. Maybe three or four on each one. There is nothing on my penis. My sex drive is usually pretty high, but seems to have died the past week.
I feel very stupid and scared. I have a seven and nine years old and they both love to hug and kiss me. I've been very careful not to let them kiss me on the lips, but I am worried about the time prior to May 13 when I first noticed a sore throat. I am 31 days in from the first time I had sex, and 27 to 35 days with French kissing depending on which woman we are talking about.
I have not yet been to the doctor and want to have have a good idea what I should be tested for. Also I am concerned about transmitting this to the kids just through a fatherly kiss or some sort of hugging. I would greatly appreciate your ideas about how I should proceed at this time and any amateur diagnosis based on my symptoms. Just to update this, I found out the cause of my symptoms. Toxic mold in a closet in my apartment.
You can test fir bacterial stds anytime after 3 days with a urine test. Hiv if you want at 6 weeks with the new duo test. There has been new studies that 4 weeks might not be enough. Hsv at twelve weeks.
What you describe doesn't really fit with hsv. First off 14 days later is a bit of a stretch but possible. The lesions would be on your lip not the back of the throat. Sounds more like strep. All in all your chances were extremely low. The longer someone has hsv the less it sheds.
Also in Colorado, was your wife that cheated happen to be a real estate lawyer ? I am going through some **** right now, with a woman that split about 10 months ago. She claimed to be 43. I met her online and turns out she was 53. I can't believe some people never would have met this woman in the first place had I know real age. Disgusting.
She lied to me about her HSV2 status and I am now most likely infected. Results pending.
As far as your post goes, to be frank and save your self time and stress you should get tested for everything you can. However antibodies for HIV usually take up to 3 months for most people sometimes longer. So for that one you will have to wait.
