Hsv 1 self inoculation

Hi, six days ago I saw a bump on my labia by the hairline. I immediately panicked and thought it was herpes. I have hsv 1 and had a cold sore on my lip at the end of December. I masturbated with my saliva and then later that night I saw that I had the start of a coldsore. Two days ago my whole vagina was burning and all day(off and on) today it has been tingling all over . I also felt nausea today. I went to the doctors yesterday and she didn't see anything but I am concerned that I will break out with a blister still. What are the chances that I gave myself genital herpes and does this sound like genital herpes?? Thank you!

I think I have the same issue. I masturbated and scratched and rubbed my semen down there, and got herpes like symptoms, and re-occurrence, and burning and tingling sensation for the past 6 months. I guess this is possible, even though very rare. My bumps did not blister and went away but came back. I also got flu symptoms 2 weeks after the first scratch. This sucks and I am not sure how long it is going to go on. I read a post of someone struggling for over 1 year. My hsv 2 test came back negative 4 months after the incident.

I've had hsv 1 since I was a kid, not sure the exact age but I was young and I'm 23 now. I hope you are right! The tingling sensation has gotten me extremely nervous and it's all I can think about. Thank you for your quick response!

How long ago did you start having cold sores - how old were you? If you've had HSV for more than 4 months, you didn't autoinoculate when you masturbated recently. You would have generated enough antibodies to prevent the virus from re-entering anywhere else on your body. It's possible you autoinoculated when you first contracted the virus and never had symptoms until now, but this isn't something you can know unless you swab a blister and it comes back positive.

I forgot to say that the bump did not blister and went away. Thanks!
