Your welcome. I will tell you this. I've been doing this for awhile. I've never had someone with symptoms like you describe test positive for hsv.
It's sounds as though re-testing at 3 months will ease your mind. What she's telling you is you had virtually no risk before you tested .. Especially in the absence of lesions and sores .
If it were me I wouldn't retest. Your lack of true hsv symptoms and extremely low odds would be enough for me to move on. You of course can test and it will probably be worth the peace of mind. If you want to test then do so at 12 weeks from exposure.
Now, as far as the new girl you want to be with. If this were me knowing what I know. I would not hesitate to have a protected relationship with her. I honestly believe hsv is not realistic in this case and my advice is to move on.
Re-read the advice Feeling has given you . She is right
Ok, I will try to put your mind at ease. Even if your partner had hsv2, the odds of you contracting it in the manner you describe is slim to none. If you had Intercourse (unprotected) the odds are 1 in a 1000. Now skin to skin contact like you describe is possible to transmit the virus but HIGHLY unlikely!!
As far as your symptoms go. They are not herpes related, that I can assure you. Asymptotic infections exist and they are void of symptoms. The symptoms you describe in the absence of lesions don't happen. That's the great world wide misinformation of the context of hsv symptoms. Prodrome symptoms happen when the virus is crawling along the nerve path back to the surface. Within a day or two you would get an outbreak of lesions. Just like your swollen neck lymph nodes...etc. wrong area!!! You would have swollen groin lymph nodes. Sore throat, run down... nope
Listen, bottom line stop testing the odds of you having hsv is astronomically low. Your stress is the only enemy here.
Hope this helps a bit.
I'll take that into consideration! Godbless for the help
Ill just take you guys advice and trying putting all this past me its still just strange all these symptoms popped up post encounter but thanks guys for all the help deeply appreciated
I completely get what advice is saying I just wanna know what I posted above as far as retesting goes and false negatives before the 3 month mark people be talking about I never felt these symptoms never In my life before
Okay thanks for the input, but would u recommend me retesting just to make sure ? And what about my testing a month later do u think that's long enough to see antibodies? I real life been avoiding sex with a girl I really like and this been bothering me intensely
