Is this hsv/cold sore or irritation?

Hello!
So, I've been sort of a nervous wreck for the past four days.
I went out one night and shared a drink and cigarette with my friend. She had no visible sores and I haven't ever seen any sort of blister or anything on her lip/face before. It's just I get incredibly nervous if I end up sharing anything with anyone. :/
The night after I went out with her, I took fluconazole and had cut it in half.
So, about a night after sharing a drink with her (with time in between from when she would drink from it) I felt my lips tingling..one side in particular. I freaked out, put rubbing alcohol all over the area, hand sanitzer, and religiously washed my mouth with soap and water for the next 2 days! I called my dr...said my lip looks a little irritated..red..and dry after it tingled off and on for about a day. She said, she thinks it was the fluconazole I took the night before it all happened but that I shouldn't put any more rubbing alcohol on my lip because its def irritating my skin.
Because I had alcohol in my system still the night before...and my entire mouth/lips just went through something similar to oral thrush from taking antibiotics a couple months back...we're thinking my mouth is just very sensitive to medications.

The "irritated area" never progressed to any herpe like symptoms. No blister(s), no little bumps, no pain, no clear oozing fluid, nothing ..except for the fact that it was happening on my lip! The bottem lip. I hate that I messed with it because then if I hadn't, I could have seen if and what it would have progressed to on it's own. :[

My boyfriend and everyone who I showed it to, said it doesn't look like a cold sore, just that the area looks mad. My bf continued to kiss me and so far has had no signs w bothersome lips. My lip is now almost entirely healed..new skin formed over the irritated area and there was like a pin sized scab under the skin, i believe from cracking during sleep because I'd wake up w dry blood slit right down the area for 2 days. The skin around it, on my lips, looked pulled tight to form the new skin over the area and I just put lip balm on for the first time last night and now I'm just waiting for the redness to go away on the skin below my lip. :/ I'm so sorry this is long! I wanted to be as clear and detailed as I could!!

Please help! Does this sound like a cold sore/ herpes or just some allergic reaction/ irritation from me abusing my lip w strong astrigents!!!?
as you can tell, i'm a worry wart to extremes.
i was tested a few months ago and came back negative for everything.
i do have hpv from my first partner. only been w 3 people since and emotionally scarred by being effected by the first person.

never use alcohol or hand sanitizer on your lips!  No wonder they are red and irritated!!!

could this be herpes? it could be but as grown adults, we aren't likely to contract oral herpes from sharing drinks or sharing a cig.

continue to use a good quality lip moisturizer regularly and go from there.

has your bf been tested to know his own status?

Thank you so much for your replies!!

I've spent a week researching all of this and I think I am finally at peace with everything.
Reading up on old posts about cold sores, helped a lot as well! Thank you!

I've read tons about herpes and it's symptoms online.
& None I can relate to except for the tingling lips and the fact that the area irritated is ON my lip. & I know that lip/face tingling can be caused by numerous things..especially reactions to medications.

So, I just wanted to know someone's point of view on it, who has maybe had a cold sore before.

Today, it's completely healed except for a little redness ...feels like dry raw skin right under my lip where i put the rubbing alcohol and etc. on day one and two.

I just am wondering if i should stop worrying and excuse it as a reaction to the fluconazole like my dr said, or worry because of the fact that something happened on my lip..

We don't look at pictures here.  I would say for now the best you can do is leave it alone.  From this one encounter you aren't looking at HSV yet.  Your symptoms of tingle started a day after the sharing of the drink if I read correctly.  That wouldn't be HSV.  Inital infection starts 2-20 days afterwards.

I know I shouldn't have done all that to my lip ahh but I was so worried, I dont know what was going through my head for the purpous of doing so.

Is that so?..I didn't know how easy or not easy it is to get hsv from sharing drinks or cigarettes. I am 22 and sometimes forget to be more careful. :/

My boyfriend hasn't been tested. He's only been tested for HIV since we've been together.  I was tested 2x since being with him. Blood test and a culture from when my mouth broke out a few months ago from the anitbiotics. We've been together for a year and a half now. I would just go get tested, but wont have health insurance until Jan of next yr. I was thinking, maybe in a month or so, he could go get tested and if he comes back fine, I could worry less...

here's a picture of how it looked lastnight..

i have freckles on my lips. but the little brown spot, is a tiny little scab..that i'm thinking is from the tight skin cracking open when it was first trying to heal on the 2 or 3rd day. because there was never any open sore of any sort to have a scab form over like that.

thank you so much if you can help me at all!!
