I'm not sure what to think of socialism. I don't want the government too involved in our personal lives, I know that. I also worry about our health care if it went that way. I heard it could take a very long time to get seen and that you wouldn't be able to choose your own doctors. Not sure about that. I just know I wouldn't want it to ever get like it was in Hitler's time where one man could have that much power over the people as to almost completely wipe out one group of people. Scary stuff.
Our fire and police departments are a fine example of socialism. ; ^ )
..If you put the word Socialism into Google or check out Europes stance and History it will give you a better explanation than I can, if you cant see the way it is going a free for all with me , wont help you, .there is plenty of news about it I didnt make it up..England went the same way and look at the mess they are in today...we are totally following in their footsteps. It is the knell for American Capitalism...I am not willing to have a one sided battle with the liberals here.. incidently I am not a conservative Republican I was democrat now Independant.
I would say people would not like his agenda but his economic platform is not going so far as to literally change America into a socialist country but yes that has been of concern for some people but as much as people differ on economics on the need for America to defend itself and remain secure we would all agree. Its which battles can be realistically fought and won.
Sorry, I was asking margypops what she meant when she said there is a pattern that is beginning to form and an agenda. I was wondering what she meant by that, if she meant that Obama is going to make American a socialist country. That's something that worries a lot of people, I know. I was just wondering exactly what she meant by the comment.
"he has said he is remaking America"
And I think it is wonderful ! There is nothing wrong with that comment, IMO. Our country has been sinking and sinking fast... especially on issues such as climate change, healthcare, human rights and education.
