I hate many select veggies and all seafood.

For my healthy eating and snacks this is my list of options. Besides the occasional maybe random outing or family outing where what I eat can't be helped I will simply measure and control.

My list:
Baby carrots
Cucumbers
Plenty of fruit!
Chicken ! No skin
Nuts
Plenty of water !
Oatmeal
Boiled egg
Turkey sandwich
Little mayo
Pickles
Wheat bread (when I can afford it)

My question is besides advising me that I should try to eat more veggies and try seafood tell me can that list work .....is that ok stuff to eat???? I added the sandwich because I'm a college student so barely any money and sandwich stuff is cheap. I only plan to prolly have 1 or 2 a day maybe none at all at times ....just want to make sure that otherwise my list is good

In line with the above, I used to cook lentils and split peas a lot -- they don't take much time because they're small and you don't need a slow cooker if you don't have one.  Make another pot of brown rice and some collards and you have a great, inexpensive meal.

Eating healthy is very inexpensive.  Most people think its expensive but its not. I agree with Paxiled on the green leafy veggies.  Also avacados are very healthy.  They do have lots of calories but you shouldn't eat the entire avocado at one meal.  I buy the small ones for 50 cents and eat half of one at noon. It contains about 80 calories and is loaded with all kinds of good vitamins and nutrients...Also, dried beans and peas are very inexpensive and furnish you with lots of protein and fiber. Pinto beans and split green peas are two of my favorites.  They are also easy to cook.  If you have a slow cooker just put a cup of pintos or green peas in it along with just little bit of ham (small amount for flavoring) maybe a little garlic and let it cook while your gone and it will be really good when you return.. I do chop up a little onion  in my pinto beans. They also take longer to cook... about 12 hours. If you cook them in a crock pot or slow cooker that long, they have no gas. Also, I don't know what kind of turkey your eating, but if it is processed your probably not helping your self much with it.  Avoid all processed meats.  They are very unhealthy.  You can purchase a small turkey breast (uncooked) and bake it your self and it is very healthy. Hope this helps some. Claytex

Healthy eating is different for different people.  You should learn to like green leafy vegetables, because they contain minerals and antioxidants you're not getting.  There's a lot of cheap fish out there if you know where to find it.  But the real answer is, do you feel good?  Do you have enough energy?  You won't be on this diet forever, and it's missing most of the stuff that is really bad for you.  I will say that although cucumbers are nice, they're mostly water and don't have many nutrients.  So do try to find some green leafy vegetables you like.
