Weird food cravings.........

I have these strange food cravings for the last 3 months:  immitation crab, brussel sprouts, pomagranate, shrimp avocado, beets and sweet potatoes, NO JUNKFOOD, SO IT'S NOT PMS.

Im 47, perimenpausal, recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, lower bowel resection last year, and require biweekly B12 shots just so I can be semi-active 4 of the 7 days of the week.  After a few days, my thighs are very painful/weak, then I have to stay in bed for the 2nd shot.  Normally I'm very athletic with very muscular thighs.  I had kept a regular diet until this started.  I've also put on at least 12lbs in 4 months due to inactivity.  I am so very desperate to get my active life back and get my bed ridden butt into the gym!!!!

Any ideas?

i don't personally see much problem in eating alot of sweet potato.  it has lots of beta carotene, so you could theoretically turn a bit orange if you always ate alot, but that's
harmless and great if you are in a sunny climate.

beets are ok too, just makes things red sometimes.

don't know about any commonality in those foods, yes there are but how do we narrow
that down?  that's a small challenge.  i just wouldn't worry about it myself.
worry if you crave pastries, breads, red meat and dairy, the many things that harm
your health.

Thanks for your comment, yes I like all, I just never had such cravings in my life, thank god they are all healthy, but can eating a VERY large sweet potato be good? or maybe 2 CANs of beets, etc.   I am of excess.  I was hoping to see if there was a common nutrient in all that I crave, and picking up some of that through a supplement.  Any thoughts?

if they are things you normally like, the hypothyroid may cause this potentially,
most seem particularly good for you so who cares?
