Medial side -won't heal

In October 2006, I suffered a golf injury, diagnosed as medial epicondylitis.  Over the next eight months, I had physical therapy, and three cortisone injections.  An EMG showed no nerve involvement.  I haven't played golf since 2006, and have been seeing an acupuncturist since August 2007 for the pain.  Nothing has worked.  I am still in pain, and am afraid to stay on Celebrex.  What do you suggest?

there are three statges to this injury it is caused by micro tearing of the orgin tendon of the flexor muscle group 1st stages is the body can reapir its self 2nd stage typically needs meds and injection 3rd stage is comprised of all the micro taring of the tendon that scar tissue forms causeing the pain there have been a few studies that show useing acetic acid on the Iontophorisis pads will help break up the cscar tissue that has formed and use cross friction massages can help do the same. also you need to remember your activity modifacation ie if you are picking somthing up and you can see your palm your lifting wrong when you lift with palm up the muscles that are stabalizing your wrist are the same muscles that are causing the pain splinting help it helps by reminding you to use your hand corectly

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello.

Anti-inflammatory drugs usually are able to relieve the pain and discomfort at the elbow. When the condition does not improve even after a long term physical therapy and medication, you should try steroid injections for pain relief.

After the injections, you should be able to return to golfing. You will probably need to alter the technique a bit to prevent recurrence of the condition.

Regards
