How long does the CA-125 test take for the results to get back??? Had one done today feeling very,very anxious and afraid.
Leslee always got her the day drawn, smaller communities that do not have the lab resorces take longer as they have to send the blood out.
At my onc I can have results by afternoon if drawn by 10 a.m. I hope you get news on yours that will ease your worries. Marie
Almost right away for the actual processing, BUT it depends on WHEN the lab processes CA-125 tests. For instance out here they only do it every 3 days....reason is CA125 is not considered a diagnostic test. CA125 is only approved by the FDA for the monitoring of ovca treatment, not diagnosis (it's not reliable in all cases because many other factors affect the count, not just ovca). You should have also had a ct scan and ultrasound if they suspected ovca..
